To control the qtx MHS-40K moving head using DMX mode, you will need to connect the DMX signal source to the DMX input on the unit using a balanced XLR lead. You can also loop through the DMX out on the unit to control additional fixtures with the same DMX signal.
To enter DMX mode, press the "MENU" button on the unit to enter the settings menu. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to navigate through the various setting functions. Select "Addr" from the menu and use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the desired DMX address. Press "ENTER" to confirm the setting.
Once the DMX address is set, the unit will start receiving the DMX signal from the controller. The "A" on the LED display will begin to flash to indicate that it is in DMX mode.
The qtx MHS-40K moving head has two DMX channel options: 18 channels and 32 channels. The DMX channel configuration determines the available functions and control options. Refer to the manual for the specific DMX channel values and descriptions for each function.
Make sure to check that the DMX controller is not set to blackout and that it is on the correct fixture/page. Also, ensure that the master dimmer value is set correctly and that the DMX address is set correctly on both the unit and the controller. Verify the DMX connection and leads for any issues.
If you encounter any difficulties or have further questions, it is recommended to refer to the qualified personnel for assistance or consult the product's manufacturer for support.
