To set the time on your MOVADO Series 800 Automatic Chronograph Watch, follow these steps:
1. Unlock the xxxx -down crown, if your watch has this feature. Turn the crown counterclockwise approximately six rotations to unlock it.
2. Pull the crown out to position 3, which will stop the watch.
3. Turn the crown in either direction until the hands indicate the desired time.
4. Push the crown back in to position 1, and the watch will restart.
5. If your watch has a xxxx -down crown, xxxx the crown back into the case to ensure water resistance.
To adjust the time to the exact second, follow these additional steps:
1. Unlock the xxxx -down crown, if applicable.
2. As soon as the small seconds hand reaches the "60" position, pull the crown out to position 3 to stop the watch.
3. Turn the crown to move the hands and set the time, ensuring that the date changes at midnight and not noon.
4. Move the hands slightly ahead of the exact time, and then slowly turn the crown counterclockwise to align the minute hand with the correct minute marker.
5. Take an accurate time signal, such as from a radio news station. When you hear the exact time signal, immediately push the crown back in to position 1 to restart the watch, now set to the exact time.
6. If your watch has a xxxx -down crown, xxxx the crown back down into the case.
To correct the date in quick mode, follow these steps:
1. Pull the unlocked crown out to position 2 while the watch continues to run.
2. Turn the crown counterclockwise until the correct date appears in the date window.
3. Push the crown back in to position 1 and xxxx it back down into the case, if applicable.
Note: If you adjust the date between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM when automatic date changes are already in progress, it should be set to the following day. The date will not automatically advance at midnight if it has been corrected via quick mode during these hours.
