To assemble and use the GreenJoy Aquarium Fish Tank Cleaning Kit, please follow the steps below:
1. Assembling the Kit:
- Connect the different tools (fish net, gravel rake, fork, and sponge brush) using the strap provided.
- Ensure that all the tools are securely attached.
2. Using the Kit:
- Place the suction port of the kit into the fish tank.
- Depending on the water outlet position in your tank, follow the appropriate instructions below:
Water outlet below the bottom of the fish tank:
- Keep the water outlet up and squeeze the blue ball until water fills the whole blue ball. Make sure to squeeze out all the air at once.
- Put the water outlet down, and the water will flow automatically. Squeeze the blue ball to speed up the water flow.
Water outlet above the bottom of the fish tank:
- Keep the water outlet up and squeeze the blue ball until water fills the whole blue ball. Make sure to squeeze out all the air at once.
- Keep the water outlet slightly upward, and the water will flow automatically. Squeeze the blue ball to speed up the water flow.
3. Improving the Water Environment:
- Disinfect and clean the fish tank by filling it with water and adding sterilization and de-chlorination water for about 20 minutes.
- Clean the fish tank decorations, landscaping, and sands with water directly. Soak plastic plants in 100F water.
- Set up your fish tank with landscaping, sand, plants, caves, etc.
- Pour water into the tank, ensuring that the water level is higher than the water pump.
- Add water treatments to the tank to maintain a stable pH and create a suitable environment for your fish.
- Add some nitrifying bacteria to the tank 2 hours after setting up your fish tank.
- Turn on the filter and let it filter the water for 2 days before introducing fish into the tank.
- Gradually acclimate the fish to the tank by adding water from the tank to the fish gradually over time. Add the fish to the tank 2 days later.
- Keep observing the fish for any signs of illness or issues. Consult a professional and use appropriate medicine if needed.
- Feed the fish moderate food after 3 days, and remember to clean up any dead fish promptly.
