To pair the OMEGA SS-001 Layer N Environmental Smart Sensor with a Layer N Gateway, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have registered your Layer N Gateway and created a Layer N Cloud or Omega Enterprise Gateway account.
2. Install the antenna to the side of the connector on the SS-001 unit.
3. Insert the provided 2x AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment located on the underside of the SS-001 unit. Make sure to observe the correct battery polarity as marked inside the compartment.
4. Wait for the Pairing Button on the Smart Sensor to display a solid orange LED light in the center of the button. This indicates that the device has been successfully powered on.
5. Push the pairing button once on your SS-001 unit. The LED status indicator will start blinking green, indicating that the device is in Pairing Mode.
6. Quickly push the pairing button on the Layer N Gateway. The LED on the gateway will also start blinking green, indicating that the gateway is in Pairing Mode.
7. Wait for the green LEDs on both the Smart Sensor and the Layer N Gateway to stop flashing. This indicates that the Smart Sensor has been successfully paired with the Layer N Gateway. The Smart Sensor LED will periodically flash green each time data is transmitted to the gateway.
8. Once the pairing is complete, you will begin to see data from the SS-001 appearing on the Layer N Cloud or Omega Enterprise Gateway interface.
Note: The transmission interval of the Smart Sensor can be adjusted from the Layer N Cloud Interface or the Omega Enterprise Gateway interface, depending on which platform the Gateway is connected to.
For more advanced configuration options, such as setting alarms, updating firmware, or performing factory resets, you can use the SYNC configuration software provided by OMEGA. This software can be downloaded from the OMEGA website, and it allows you to connect to the SS-001 via the micro USB 2.0 port.
Please refer to the OMEGA SS-001 (-NA) Layer N Environmental Smart Sensor User Manual for more detailed instructions and information.
