To assemble and set up the music hall Stealth Direct Drive Turntable, follow these steps:
1. Remove the main unit from the box and unpack it.
2. Mount the turntable platter onto the center spindle.
3. Install the rubber mat on the platter.
4. If required, install the cartridge by referring to its spec sheet for the correct tracking force. Connect the lead wires to the cartridge terminals, following the color-coding (White=L+, Blue=L-, Red=R+, Green=R-).
5. Insert the headshell firmly into the front end of the tonearm and turn the lock nut counter-clockwise to secure it.
6. Slide the counterweight onto the tonearm with the numbers facing towards you. Twist it lightly to xxxx it onto the rear shaft of the tonearm. Advancing the counterweight to the white cross-hatch will give you an effective tracking force of 1.8g.
7. Adjust the horizontal "zero" balance and stylus pressure by supporting the headshell and rotating the counterweight until the tonearm is approximately balanced horizontally. Refasten the tonearm with the tonearm clamp.
8. Hold the counterweight stationary with your right hand and rotate the tracking force gauge ring until the number "0" aligns with the center line on the rear shaft of the tonearm. Do not touch the ring again.
9. Rotate the counterweight from the back to set the desired tracking force. Stop when you have reached the stylus pressure. If using a cartridge other than the supplied one, follow the manufacturer's instructions for the correct tracking force.
10. Set the anti-skating control xxxx to the same value as the stylus pressure.
11. Adjust the feet by screwing or unscrewing them to level the turntable.
12. Connect the AC adapter to a power outlet.
13. Connect the RCA cables (white=left channel, red=right channel) and the GND wire to the PHONO input of your amplifier.
14. Turn on the power using the POWER ON/OFF button on the rear panel.
15. Push the SPEED buttons to select the appropriate rotation speed for your vinyl record.
16. Place a record onto the platter.
17. Unlock the tonearm lock and lift the tonearm lever. The tonearm will slowly ascend.
18. Gently move the headshell to position the stylus over the desired track.
19. Lower the tonearm lifter lever. The tonearm will slowly descend, and playback will start.
20. To stop playback before it finishes, push the selected SPEED button again, and lift the tonearm lever to raise the arm.
