The TransTank FireAttack unit can be filled in two ways:
1. Standpipe Filling Method: Remove the filling lid from the tank's top opening and position the FireAttack unit's top-mounted fill point under the standpipe or insert a supply hose. Open the water supply's valve and allow water to flow into the tank. Close the water supply's valve when the tank is filled, and replace the tank's filling lid.
2. Bottom Filling Method: Ensure the ball valve on the suction line from the bottom of the tank to the pump is closed. Remove the camlock cap from the discharge port of the pump and release the camlock fittings to disconnect the suction line from the pump. Connect the suction line to the pump's discharge manifold port above and fit the camlock cap removed from the discharge port to the suction port on the pump. Position the FireAttack unit adjacent to a water supply, such as a dam, and attach the supplied bottom fill hose's camlock end to the pump's suction port. Place the filter end of the bottom fill hose into the water source. Open the tank's filler lid to monitor the water level as the tank is filled. Open the ball valve on the suction line from the bottom of the tank to connect it to the pump's discharge port. Prime the pump if required. Start the pump and ensure it is drawing water and discharging it into the FireAttack's tank. Close the ball valve on the line to the bottom of the tank when the tank is filled. Close the tank's filler lid and disconnect the bottom fill supply hose from the pump's suction port. Reconnect the tank's suction line to the pump's suction port and reinstall the camlock cap to the pump's discharge manifold. Open the tank valve and drain and clean the hose before stowing it for future use.
