To mount the AFRISO ARM ProClick Electric Actuator on a mixing valve, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the blue ring with the indicator is pointing upwards. If it is not, remove the xxxx and blue ring, and then re-mount them with the indicator pointing upwards. The blue ring can be lifted using a flat-headed screwdriver.
2. If needed, detach the actuator power cable to simplify mounting and electrical work. Lift the lever of the cover and slide it out of the actuator housing. Then, remove the plug from the socket. Note that the plug fits into the socket in only one position.
To make the electrical connections, follow these instructions based on the type of control actuator:
- 3-point control actuator:
Connect the actuator to the controller according to the provided diagram. The neutral wire of the actuator should be connected to the corresponding clamp on the controller or directly into the mains neutral wire. After making the connections, check if the actuator turns in the required direction. If needed, swap wires 2 and 3.
- 2-point control actuator:
Connect the neutral wire of the actuator to the mains neutral wire. Detach the xxxx and set the switch according to the provided diagram. Then, connect the wires based on the required actuator rotation direction. An example for 2-point control is provided in the manual.
- 2 and 3-point control actuator:
These actuators can work as either 3-point or 2-point actuators. To use the device in 3-point mode, connect the actuator to the controller as shown in the provided diagram. After making the connections, check if the actuator turns in the required direction. If needed, swap wires 2 and 3. To use the device in 2-point mode, connect the neutral wire of the actuator directly to the mains neutral wire. Detach the xxxx and set the switch according to the provided diagram. Then, connect the wires based on the required actuator rotation direction.
For proportional control actuators, detach the xxxx and use a flat-headed screwdriver to select the appropriate letter on the switch depending on the control signal and required valve opening time. Make the electrical connections as shown in the provided diagram. The actuator turn direction can be changed using the switch located under the xxxx .
Please refer to the manual for detailed diagrams and instructions specific to your actuator version.
