To install the DEEPCOOL Castle 120R 120mm Liquid CPU Cooler on your Intel or AMD processor, please follow the instructions below:
1. Prepare your motherboard: Ensure that your motherboard is compatible with the cooler. The Castle 120R supports Intel sockets LG1200, LGA 1151, LGA 1150, LGA 1155, LGA 1156, LGA 2011, LGA 2011-v3, LGA 2066, and AMD socket AM4.
2. Install the backplate: Place the backplate on the backside of your motherboard, aligning the holes with the corresponding socket holes. Use the appropriate screws to secure the backplate in place.
3. Apply thermal paste: Apply a small amount of thermal paste onto the center of your processor. Spread it evenly using a plastic card or a thermal paste spreader.
4. Mount the pump: Attach the pump to the CPU block by aligning the mounting holes. Use the included screws to secure the pump in place. Connect the pump's power cable to the CPU fan header on your motherboard.
5. Install the radiator: Choose a suitable location inside your case to mount the radiator. Ensure that it is positioned in a way that allows for proper airflow. Use the included screws to secure the radiator in place.
6. Connect the fans: Connect the fans to the pump's fan headers. Ensure that the fans are oriented in the correct direction for optimal airflow. You can control the fan speed using your motherboard's fan control software.
7. Connect the pump: Connect the pump's SATA power cable to your power supply unit (PSU) using a SATA power cable.
8. Test and verify: Once everything is connected, power on your computer and check if the pump and fans are functioning properly. Monitor the CPU temperature to ensure that the cooler is effectively cooling your processor.
