To mount the TOA WB-AM1BWC AM Wall/Ceiling Mounting Bracket, you can follow the instructions provided in the instruction manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Position the mount on the wall, ceiling, or table where you want to install it. Use a marker or pencil to mark the holes, including the square space on the rear of the mount for the microphone cable. Make sure to leave sufficient space behind the rear of the microphone to insert the rear panel screws (approximately 2 inches or more).
2. Remove the mount and drill holes corresponding to the anchor screws you will be using. The maximum recommended xxxx size is 1/8 inch with a bevel head.
3. Insert the anchors into the drilled holes and secure them by banging or screwing them until they are flush with the surface.
4. Place the mount back on the surface, aligning it with the holes. Insert and tighten the screws into the mount until it is secure.
5. Insert the microphone plug from the AM-1B into the rear hole of the mount. Snake the cable through to the exit point for connection to the AM-1C controller.
6. Insert the front edge of the AM-1B microphone into the mount's front and slide it forward as far as it will go.
7. Place the separate rear edge plate over the top rear of the AM-1B microphone, with the xxxx holes facing the back of the mount plate. Line up the rear xxxx holes and insert screws into them. Tighten the screws to secure the rear edge plate.
If you plan to suspend the mount from the ceiling, you will need two panel mic flange mounts (female thread) and a matching dual female thread mic stand pipe. Follow these additional steps:
1. xxxx the second mounting flange into the ceiling, ensuring you use appropriate screws for the ceiling material. Leave sufficient space behind the rear of the microphone to insert the rear panel screws (approximately 2 inches or more).
2. xxxx the suspension pipe into the ceiling flange and tighten it.
3. xxxx the second mic flange adapter onto the lower end of the ceiling pipe, but do not fully tighten it.
4. Insert the three supplied flush screws into the three holes on the bottom of the main mount casing, so they exit from the bottom.
5. Place the mic flange adapter over the screws and tighten it using the supplied locking washer bolts. Use the pipe adjustment collar to fully tighten once the microphone is properly positioned.
Note: If you plan to suspend the mount in a drop-tile ceiling, it is highly recommended to use a panel support above the ceiling tile (such as 1/2" plywood or equivalent) to ensure structural stability. It is also recommended to use molly or anchor screws for a weight load greater than 10 lbs.
