To install the MORIMOTO BAF025 Flush Mount 4 Banger Pod Light Kit, follow these steps:
1. Determine the location where you want to install the flush mount light. Common locations include vehicle bumpers, roof racks, truck boxes, or any other flat surface.
2. Tape the included template onto the installation location to ensure it stays in place. Use a punch and hammer to create a dimple at each center point indicated on the template (13 total).
3. Remove the template and drill holes at each location where you created the dimples. The template specifies that 12 holes should be 0.25” / 6mm in diameter, and the top center hole should be 0.50” / 13mm.
4. Use a Dremel or cutoff wheel to connect the dots of the inner 0.25” / 6mm holes. Be careful not to intersect the four outer mounting holes. Try to cut along the outside wall of these holes.
5. Install the adjuster threading clips into the mounting brackets.
6. Hook the mounting bracket through the hole in your panel and align the four mounting holes.
7. Align the front bezel with the same mounting holes and loosely install the top two M4 x 22mm flat head screws using a Torx T20 bit. Leave these top two screws finger tight.
8. Prepare your 4Banger pod for installation by attaching the adjuster bracket. Remove the top two screws from the back of the pod using a Torx T10 bit. Fit the adjuster bracket as shown and secure it using the included M3 x 20mm SS Pan Head Screws.
9. Install your chosen wiring harness (recommended: Morimoto switched harness, part number BAF000H). Pull the wire harness power cable through the mounting hole and connect it to the 4Banger pod.
10. Insert the M5 x 25mm cap head adjuster xxxx through the hole in the adjuster bracket and place the included spring over the end of the adjuster xxxx . Use a small amount of silicone, RTV, or super glue to hold the spring to the adjuster bracket to ensure it remains in place until the adjuster xxxx is threaded.
11. Open the adjuster door on the front bezel. Insert the pod through the bezel and onto the mounting bracket, making sure the spring does not fall off the back of the xxxx . Start threading the adjuster xxxx into the adjuster threading clip by turning it 5-6 turns, but do not tighten it down.
12. Push the pod in so that it clips into each ear of the mounting bracket, if it hasn't already.
13. Finally, insert the bottom two front bezel to mounting bracket screws and tighten all four screws. Use the adjuster xxxx to aim the pod to your desired vertical angle. Tightening the xxxx will adjust the pod to aim higher, while loosening it will aim the pod downward.
