To connect the ecler eCMP8/eCMP12 music projector to your amplifier, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Determine the power options you want to use for the speaker. The eCMP8/eCMP12 supports high or low-impedance operation and has a selector on the back with power options.
2. Set the power options on the speaker selector according to your requirements. The power options include different wattage levels for both 100V and 70V configurations, as well as an 8Ω option. Note that the power options for 100V will be halved for 70V installations.
3. If you are using the low-impedance connection, make sure your amplifier can handle the maximum power output of the eCMP8/eCMP12 (150W for eCMP8 and 300W for eCMP12). Also, ensure that the impedance of the speaker set does not drop below 4Ω when connecting multiple speakers to the amplifier output.
4. Use good quality and short connection cables between the amplifier outputs and the speakers, especially if the distances to be covered are large and the speaker impedance is low.
5. If you are using the 70/100V line speaker distribution system, connect the speaker to the corresponding line using the power options specified on the selector. Make sure not to accidentally connect the speaker to a low-impedance amplifier when the selector is set to 70/100V positions, as it will not perform well and may cause damage to the speaker.
