To install the REACH WIRELESS RW1000-600APO Optical Smoke Detector, follow these steps:
1. Choose a suitable location: Select a location on the ceiling or high on the wall, away from corners, air vents, and windows. Make sure the detector is within the communication range of the Loop-Interface device (RW1700-030APO).
2. Mount the base: Attach the wireless base (supplied with the detector) to the chosen location using screws or adhesive. Ensure the base is securely fixed.
3. Connect the detector: Align the detector with the base and twist it clockwise until it locks into place. The detector should fit snugly onto the base.
4. Power up the detector: Insert two VARTA CR123A Lithium 3V batteries (supplied with the detector) into the battery compartment. Make sure to follow the correct polarity markings.
5. Test the detector: After installation, perform a functional test to ensure proper operation. Follow the testing procedures outlined in the owner's manual.
