To install the DMM 5000 Series Digital Portable Multimeter software on your computer, please follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that your computer meets the minimum configuration requirements. These include having a Pentium IV or higher processor, 2 GB RAM, 50MB hard drive space, CD-ROM drive, Windows 7 or above, USB port (USB 2.0), 800 x 600 or higher monitor resolution, a supported printer (if printout is required), and NET Framework 4.0 or higher pre-installed.
2. Insert the Multimeter Software CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
3. Open the CD-ROM and navigate to the "DMM Datalogger" folder.
4. Run the "DMM Datalogger Setup.exe" file.
5. During the installation process, make sure you have administrator privileges for the logged-in user.
6. In the first stage of installation, click on "Next".
7. If you want to create a desktop shortcut, select the checkbox and click on "Next".
8. Click on "Install" to begin the installation of the Multimeter Software.
9. In the second stage of installation, the setup will prompt you to install the USB Driver (FTDI CDM Driver). If your system already has the FTDI CDM Driver installed, you can skip this stage by clicking on "Cancel".
10. If the USB Driver needs to be installed, click on "Extract".
11. Click on "Next".
12. Accept the agreement by clicking on "I accept this agreement" and then click on "Next". The Device Driver installation will start.
13. Click on "Finish" to complete the Device Driver Installation.
14. Click on "Finish" again to finish the installation of the complete software.
15. You can now use the software for data logging and parameter configuration. For a better understanding of the software features, refer to the DMM Datalogger Software Manual.
