To configure the Ecler ETH232AD TCP-IP Serial Converter, follow these steps:
1. Connect your computer to the ETH232AD interface using an Ethernet cable.
2. Set up your computer's network card with a static IP address in the same range as the default IP address of the ETH232AD interface. The default IP address is either 192.168.0.232 or 192.168.1.100.
3. Open a web browser and type the default IP address (192.168.0.232 or 192.168.1.100) in the address bar.
4. Enter the default login credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
Note: If the device belongs to batch nº G1005, the IP address will be 192.168.1.100.
5. Once logged in, you can access the web configuration page.
Basic Setup:
- Serial Settings:
- Device Name: You can modify the device name with a maximum of 15 characters.
- Data Baud Rate: Set the baud rate for the RS-232/422/485 interface.
- Data Parity: Set the parity for the RS-232/422/485 interface.
- Data Bits: Set the number of data bits for the RS-232/422/485 interface.
- Stop Bits: Set the number of stop bits for the RS-232/422/485 interface.
- Flow Control: Set the flow control for the RS-232/422/485 interface.
- Serial Type: Select the serial type (RS-232, RS-485, RS-422 Master, RS-422 Slave).
- Network Settings:
- DHCP Client: Enable or disable DHCP client mode.
- IP Address: Set the IP address for the ETH232AD interface.
- Subnet Mask: Set the subnet mask for the ETH232AD interface.
- Gateway: Set the gateway address for the ETH232AD interface.
- DNS Server: Set the DNS server address for the ETH232AD interface.
- Connection Type: Select TCP or UDP.
- TCP Keep Alive: Keep the TCP connection open.
- Transmit Timer: Set the transmit timer value.
- Server/Client Mode: Select server or client mode.
- Server Listening Port: Set the server listening port.
- Client Destination Host Name/IP: Set the client destination host name or IP address.
Advanced Settings:
- TFTP Server IP: Set the IP address of the PC where the TFTP server utility is installed.
- File Name: Set the name of the firmware file for firmware upgrade.
Security Settings:
- Replace the default username and password for user login.
- Restrict access to the configuration webpage to a limited number of IP addresses.
