To set up the Tamora Plus II mattress, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the bed is clear of any protruding parts or sharp objects that could damage the mattress.
2. Remove any existing mattress from the bed.
3. Lay the Tamora Plus II mattress on the bed, ensuring that the air pipe connector is situated on the bottom left-hand side of the bed foot end.
4. Fasten the security straps on the base cover of the mattress loosely to convenient points on the bedframe patient surface. Make sure the straps are only fitted to the moving parts of the mattress platform to avoid damage.
5. Hold the power unit and unfold the hanging hooks on the rear. Hang the power unit from the bed's footboard. Alternatively, you can place the power unit on the floor at the foot of the bed.
6. Route the power cable in a way that avoids twisting, trapping, crushing, or stressing it.
7. Use the cable management fixings located on each side of the mattress to secure the power cable. Open the press studs if necessary and run the cable along the side of the mattress, securing it with the fixing loops.
8. Remove the cover of the air pipe connector and connect the air pipe connector to the power unit. Ensure that the air tubes are free from obstructions and not kinked.
9. Plug the power cable into a suitable electrical socket and switch it ON using the mains power switch on the side of the power unit. All indicators on the control panel will light up.
10. The power unit will start inflation mode, and the Normal Pressure indicator will flash. Turn the comfort control dial to the maximum.
11. Once the mattress is fully inflated, you can set the appropriate pressure level suitable for the patient using the comfort control dial.
