To use the Meister 8971470 Voltage Tester to test for voltage, please follow these steps:
1. Before each use, check the insulated jacket of the voltage tester for any damage. Do not use a damaged voltage tester.
2. Check that the glow lamp of the voltage tester is working by connecting it to a power outlet. If the glow lamp is not functioning properly, dispose of the voltage tester.
3. Hold the tip of the voltage tester on the contact of the electrical line that you want to test.
4. Touch the other end of the voltage tester with your finger.
5. If there is alternating voltage present, the glow lamp of the voltage tester will light up.
Please note that the lack of the indicator lamp lighting up does not necessarily mean that there is no voltage. There are several factors that can affect the visibility of the indicator lamp, such as unfavorable light conditions, temperatures outside the range of -10 °C to +50 °C, frequencies outside the range of 50 to 500 Hz, and unfavorable locations (e.g., wooden stepladders, insulating floor coverings, improperly earthed alternating voltage systems).
Always ensure that you are using the voltage tester within the voltage range of 125 to 250 Volts and in a dry environment. Never use the voltage tester as a screwdriver.
If you have any further questions or need assistance, you can contact the Meister customer service at the provided contact details.
