The Ecler TRAILSB6T can be operated in high impedance mode or low impedance mode. To select the operating mode, use the 5-position switch on the rear panel. The first four positions are for high impedance mode, and the fifth position is for low impedance mode.
If you are using the subwoofer in a 70/100V installation, the power selector switch allows you to choose the maximum power configuration for each unit. The lower positions (7.5W or 15W) are suitable for areas requiring low sound pressure levels, while the upper positions (30W or 60W) are for areas requiring higher levels. Please note that if you are using the subwoofer in a 70V installation, the powers for the 100V position will be reduced by half.
If you prefer to use the subwoofer in low impedance mode, set the switch to the 8Ω position, which allows for a maximum power of 60W. Keep in mind that when connecting multiple subwoofers to an amplifier output in low impedance mode, ensure that the overall impedance does not drop below 4Ω to avoid potential issues with the amplifier. Additionally, use good quality and short cables for optimal performance, especially when long distances are involved.
