To clean the PRESTO SaladShooter Electric Slicer/Shredder, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the power switch is in the OFF position and unplug the unit before cleaning.
2. Remove the food chamber from the motorized base. Note that the food chamber cannot be removed with the power switch in the ON position.
3. Wash all parts, except the motorized base, in warm, soapy water. These parts are completely immiscible and dishwasher safe. If using a dishwasher, place the parts on the top rack or the rack farthest away from the heating element.
4. Use a damp cloth to clean the motorized base. Do not immerse the motorized base in water or any other liquid.
5. If the slicing/shredding chute and cones become stained after processing certain foods, such as carrots, wipe them with a paper towel containing a small amount of vegetable oil. Then wash, rinse, and dry the parts.
Note: The slicing/shredding chute and cones may become stained after processing certain foods. If staining occurs, follow the steps above to remove the stains.
