To empty the dirt cup on the Hoover UH74220PC MAXLife Pro Pet Swivel Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, follow these steps:
1. Press the dirt cup release button located on the vacuum to remove the dirt cup from the unit.
2. Hold the dirt cup over a trash can and press the trap door release to empty the dirt cup.
3. Make sure to empty the dirt cup after every use to maintain optimal performance.
