To properly measure your blood pressure using the OMRON BP4350 Gold Blood Pressure Monitor, follow these steps:
1. Before measuring your blood pressure, ensure you are in a relaxed state and have not consumed any food, alcohol, tobacco, or caffeine within 30 minutes.
2. Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor and your back straight. Rest your arm on a table or armrest so that the cuff is at the same level as your heart.
3. Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, positioning it approximately 1-2 cm above your elbow. Make sure it fits snugly but not too tight. The cuff should be aligned with the artery marker on the cuff.
4. Press the "START/STOP" button to turn on the monitor. The display will show a blinking "0" and then "---" to indicate it is ready for measurement.
5. Press the "START/STOP" button again to start the measurement. The cuff will inflate automatically, and you will feel slight pressure on your arm. Remain still and avoid talking or moving during the measurement.
6. The monitor will display your blood pressure readings, including systolic (upper value) and diastolic (lower value) pressure, as well as your pulse rate. The readings will be shown on the screen and stored in the memory.
7. After the measurement, the cuff will deflate, and the monitor will turn off automatically after a short period of inactivity.
8. To review your previous measurements, press the "MEMORY" button. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the stored readings.
It is important to note that for accurate measurements, it is recommended to take multiple readings at different times of the day and average them for a more reliable result. Additionally, consult with your healthcare professional for guidance on interpreting your blood pressure readings and any necessary actions to take.
