To install the Anker Eufy Security Video Doorbell T8200, follow these steps:
1. Ring the existing doorbell to ensure it is working and locate the place of your chimes.
2. Shut off the master circuit breaker in your house and turn the lights on/off to ensure the electricity is properly shut off.
3. Find the doorbell chime in your house, remove the cover, and locate the xxxx terminals with TRANS and FRONT markings. Use the provided wire for the existing chime to connect the two terminals. This bypasses the doorbell chime without affecting its normal operation.
4. Remove the existing doorbell button at the front door and carefully pull out the two wires. Straighten the wire ends if needed.
5. Use the xxxx hole positioning-card to mark the xxxx holes for the new doorbell button. Place it at least 1.2m (48") high from the ground for optimal viewing.
6. Drill two holes using a 15/64" (6mm) drill bit. If needed, use the 15° mounting widget as a supplementary mounting bracket for better viewing angles.
7. Use anchors provided for materials like stucco, brick, or concrete. If installing on a wooden doorframe, anchors are not necessary.
8. Insert the provided screws through the xxxx holes or through the 15° mounting widget. Fasten the screws tightly.
9. Connect the wires to the two terminals at the back of the doorbell and tighten the terminal screws. Avoid short-circuiting when connecting wires. If the wires are too short, use the extension wires and wire nuts provided to make them longer.
10. Remove the films of the thermal conductive pads and mount the video doorbell on the wall. Use the doorbell detaching tool if you need to detach the doorbell from the mounting blanket.
11. Switch the master circuit breaker back on.
12. Wait until the doorbell ring flashes yellow.
13. Follow the onscreen instructions in the EufySecurity app to complete the installation of your video doorbell.
