The Wahl 9818 LI Stainless Steel Lithium Ion Plus Stainless Steel Beard Trimmer takes approximately 60 minutes to fully charge. However, it is recommended to allow the trimmer to charge completely for 1 hour before its first use. If the trimmer is not charged completely prior to the first use, the LED will flash while the trimmer is running. Once charging is completed, the LED will go from ON to OFF, indicating that the trimmer is fully charged.
