According to the user manual, it is recommended to charge the Roomba i3+ (3550) robot vacuum for 3 hours prior to starting the first cleaning job. The robot comes with a partial charge, but it is best to give it a full charge before use. Once fully charged, the robot can run for up to 75 minutes before it needs to recharge. If the robot needs to recharge mid-cleaning, it will return to its Home Base and once sufficiently charged, it will resume the cleaning job where it left off.
