If your HP DeskJet 2755e printer is not automatically found during setup, you can add it manually to your Wi-Fi network. Here's what you can do:
1. Make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on and working properly.
2. Check if your printer is connected to a network with a firewall. If it is, ensure that ports 9100 and 515 are open for HP Smart.
3. Ensure that the printer is connected to your network and powered on.
4. Check the Wi-Fi light on the front of the printer. It should be solid blue. If it's blinking, follow these steps:
a. Make sure the printer's software is up to date.
b. Ensure you are using HP Smart (version 2.0 or later) and that your computer has an Internet connection.
c. Double-check that you have entered your wireless password correctly in HP Smart.
d. Verify that you are using the correct wireless network name (SSID) and security settings for your printer (WEP or WPA).
e. If you are using WPA2 encryption, make sure you have entered your password correctly in HP Smart and in your wireless router settings.
f. Ensure there are no devices blocking or interfering with the signal between the router and the printer (e.g., microwave ovens, cordless phones, or other wireless devices).
g. Remove any physical barriers between the router and the printer (e.g., walls or large furniture).
h. If possible, move closer to your router, away from potential interference sources, or try relocating your router to another location in your home or office.
If you continue to experience difficulties connecting your printer to your Wi-Fi network, you can visit the HP support site for further troubleshooting and videos specific to your printer model. Simply enter your model name to find the appropriate resources.
