To connect the eMPAGE paging station to an HUB/eMIMO1616 or MIMO matrix unit, follow the installation and wiring instructions provided in the user manual.
For HUB/eMIMO1616:
1. Remove the back cover of the eMPAGE unit.
2. Connect a CAT5 or higher cable from the RJ45 connector on the eMPAGE unit to the PAGER A or PAGER B port of the HUB/eMIMO1616 unit.
3. If necessary, connect a backup power supply to the power connector on the eMPAGE unit.
4. Check that the jumpers on the eMPAGE unit are positioned in the 485 position.
5. xxxx the back cover back onto the unit chassis.
6. Insert the supplied microphone into the XLR connector on the front panel.
7. Program the operation and settings of the eMPAGE unit from the PAGERS/DUCKERS tab of the HUB/eMIMO1616 web application.
For MIMO88, MIMO88SG, or MIMO1212SG:
1. Remove the back cover of the eMPAGE unit.
2. Connect a CAT5 or higher cable from the RJ45 connector on the eMPAGE unit to the REMOTE 1 or REMOTE 2 port of the MIMO88, or to the REMOTE port of MIMO88SG or MIMO1212SG matrices.
3. Connect the audio from the paging console microphone to the + and - terminals of one balanced audio input in the MIMO matrix.
4. If necessary, connect a backup power supply to the power connector on the eMPAGE unit.
5. Check that the jumpers on the eMPAGE unit are positioned in the CAN position. If the unit is the last one in the CAN bus wiring line, insert the J111-J112 jumper to enable the 120 ohm terminal resistor.
6. xxxx the back cover back onto the unit chassis.
7. Insert the supplied microphone into the XLR connector on the front panel.
8. Program the operation and settings of the eMPAGE unit from the PAGERS/DUCKERS tab of the MIMO matrix in the EclerNet Manager project.
