To connect the TSM17C Integrated Step Servo Motor to a power supply, follow these steps:
1. Gather the necessary items: a 12 - 48 volt DC power supply, a small flat blade screwdriver (included), a PC running Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7/8/10/11, the Step-Servo Quick Tuner software, and the included RS-232 programming cable.
2. Connect the power supply's positive terminal to the drive's positive terminal and the power supply's negative terminal to the drive's negative terminal using 16 to 20-gauge wire. Be careful not to reverse the wires, as this may open the internal fuse and void the warranty.
3. If you are using a regulated power supply, there may be a regeneration problem that can be solved with the use of an Applied Motion Products RC880 Regeneration Clamp. Refer to the Applied Motion Products website or the TSM17C Hardware Manual for more information on this.
Please note that these instructions provide a general overview. For more detailed information and illustrations, refer to the Applied Motion Products TSM17C Integrated Step Servo Motor User Guide.
