To connect the TSM23S/Q Integrated Step Servo Motor to a power supply, follow these steps:
1. Gather the necessary items: a 12 - 70 volt DC power supply, a small flat blade screwdriver (included), and 16 to 20-gauge wire.
2. Ensure that the power supply is not connected to any power source.
3. Connect the power supply's positive terminal (+) to the drive's positive terminal (+) using the 16 to 20-gauge wire.
4. Connect the power supply's negative terminal (-) to the drive's negative terminal (-) using the 16 to 20-gauge wire.
5. Be careful not to reverse the wires during the connection process. Reversing the connection may open the internal fuse and void the warranty.
Note: If you are using a regulated power supply, there may be a regeneration problem that can be solved with the use of an Applied Motion Products RC880 Regeneration Clamp. For more information, refer to the Applied Motion Products website or the TSM23S/Q Hardware Manual.
Please refer to the TSM23S/Q Integrated Step Servo Motor User Guide for additional information and illustrations on the power supply connection process.
