To connect the ESP8685-WROOM-04 module to your computer for development, you will need the following hardware:
1. ESP8685-WROOM-04 module
2. Espressif RF testing board
3. USB-to-Serial board
4. Micro-USB cable
5. PC running Linux
Here are the steps to connect the module:
1. Solder the ESP8685-WROOM-04 module to the RF testing board.
2. Connect the RF testing board to the USB-to-Serial board via the TXD, RXD, and GND pins.
3. Connect the USB-to-Serial board to your PC.
4. Connect the RF testing board to your PC or a power adapter using the Micro-USB cable.
5. During the download process, connect the IO0 pin on the module to GND using a jumper. Then, turn on the testing board.
6. Download the firmware into the flash memory. Refer to the manual for detailed instructions on how to download the firmware.
7. After the download is complete, remove the jumper on the IO0 pin and GND.
8. Power up the RF testing board again. The ESP8685-WROOM-04 module will switch to working mode and read programs from the flash memory upon initialization.
