To connect the Applied Motion Products SS EtherCAT StepSERVO Motor to your PC for configuration, you will need a mini USB cable (included in the package) and the Step-Servo Quick Tuner software (version 3.0.16.0725 or later). Here are the steps:
1. Visit www.applied-motion.com/products/software to download the Step-Servo Quick Tuner software and install it on your PC.
2. Connect the drive to your PC using the mini USB cable.
3. Run the Step-Servo Quick Tuner software and select the appropriate COM port in the software.
4. Apply power to the drive. If you are using the optional auxiliary power supply, make sure the main power supply is applied first.
5. The software will recognize the drive and display the model and firmware version.
6. Click "Yes" to upload the drive configuration.
7. Make sure the displayed motor model number matches the actual SS motor connected to the drive.
8. Configure the control mode setting, I/O function, tuning parameters, and other settings as needed.
9. When you are ready to test your configuration, click "Download All to Drive" to transfer the configuration to the drive.
