To connect the TSM17P Integrated Step Servo Motor to a power supply, follow these steps:
1. Ensure you have a 12-48 volt DC power supply available.
2. Use a small flat blade screwdriver (included) to tighten the connectors.
3. Connect the power supply's positive terminal to the drive's positive terminal using 16 to 20-gauge wire.
4. Connect the power supply's negative terminal to the drive's negative terminal using 16 to 20-gauge wire.
5. Be careful not to reverse the wires, as this may open the internal fuse and void the warranty.
It's important to note that if you are using a regulated power supply, there may be a regeneration issue that can be addressed with the Applied Motion Products RC880 Regeneration Clamp. For more information on this, please refer to the Applied Motion Products website or the TSM17P Hardware Manual.
