To configure the Node ID and Bit Rate for the TSM23C Integrated Step Servo Motor, follow these steps:
1. Load the Step-Servo Quick Tuner software on your PC.
2. Connect the drive to your PC using the included RS-232 programming cable.
3. Open the Step-Servo Quick Tuner software.
4. Apply power to the drive.
5. Set the Node ID: Each node on a CANopen network must have a unique Node ID. The Node ID is configured using a sixteen-position switch SW2 to set the lower 4 bits of the Node ID, while the upper 3 bits are configured using the Step-Servo Quick Tuner software. Follow the steps provided in the software to set up the motor's Node ID.
6. Set the Bit Rate: The CANopen Network bit rate is configured with the BCD switch SW1 on the front of the drive. The bit rate must be the same for all nodes on the CANopen network. Refer to the TSM23C Hardware Manual or the Applied Motion Products website for the recommended bit rate settings.
Please note that it is important to read all available documentation, including the TSM23C Hardware Manual, before attempting to configure the Node ID and Bit Rate. Additionally, ensure that you have the necessary software and hardware requirements, such as a PC running Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7/8/10/11 and a 12-70 volt DC power supply.
