To install the BLUE SEA SYSTEMS M2 OLED Digital Monitor, follow these steps:
1. If you are not knowledgeable about electrical systems, it is recommended to have an electrical professional install the unit. The installation diagrams in the instructions are specific to the unit and not the overall wiring of the vessel.
2. Before installing the unit, disconnect the power leads of any installed inverter at the battery. Some inverters have a "sleep mode" that may not be detectable with measuring equipment.
3. If an AC generator is installed on the vessel, it must be stopped and rendered inoperable before installing the unit.
4. Verify that no other DC or AC sources are connected to the vessel's wiring before installing the unit.
5. Ensure that the back of the unit is not exposed to water as it is not waterproof.
6. The components included in the package are: M2 Head Unit, Surface Mount Bezel and Seal, Surface Mount Gasket, Surface Mount Cover, Flat Mount Bezel, Flat Mount Clamp, Mounting Ring, Mounting Nut, Connectors, and Screwdriver (retail package only). The 360 Panel Mounting Kit PN 1525 is sold separately.
7. Refer to the provided Connector Pin Assignment table to understand the pin assignments for different functions.
8. The M2 Meter Navigation is done through the screen menu. Press any button to bring up the menu, use the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to scroll through menu windows. For setting alarms and more detailed information, refer to the website www.bluesea.com/M2.
9. The BLUE SEA SYSTEMS M2 OLED Digital Monitor offers different mounting options including Flat Mount, Surface Mount, and 360 Panel Mount (if retrofitting to an existing panel). Follow the provided steps and mounting templates for the desired mounting option.
10. The product comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty, covering defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the M2 Meter product. Labor or shipping costs for defective parts are not covered. Blue Sea Systems cannot accept liability for damage due to the misuse of the M2 Meter.
