To install the LUMEX LL2LHB4MW Bi-Level Microwave Sensor for High Bay Light, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the power supply is disconnected before starting the installation process.
2. Choose a suitable location inside the bottom of the light fixture body for installing the sensor. Make sure that the sensor has a clear line of sight to detect motion.
3. Connect the power supply to the sensor. The sensor supports 12V and 24V DC power supply and requires a current of more than 50mA.
4. Set the desired dim control output by connecting the 0-10V dimming wires to the appropriate terminals on the light fixture.
5. Adjust the HF system frequency by setting it to 5.8GHz±75MHz.
6. Determine the desired detection radius for the sensor. The sensor offers options of 20%, 50%, 75%, and 100% detection radius, ranging from 1-8 meters.
7. Mount the sensor at a maximum height of 50ft (15 meters) for optimal performance.
8. Set the desired time delay for the sensor. The available options are 10 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes.
9. Configure the light control settings based on your requirements. The options include 24-hour operation, or activation at specific lux levels such as 10 lux, 30 lux, or 50 lux.
10. Ensure that the temperature range is within -4°F to +140°F (-20°C to +60°C) for proper sensor operation.
11. The sensor has an IP65 rating, indicating its resistance to dust and water. Ensure that the sensor is suitable for the intended environment.
12. Once the installation is complete, reconnect the power supply and test the sensor's functionality. The sensor has a warm-up time of 1 second before it starts dimming the lights.
Note: The factory default settings for the sensor are 100% sensitivity, a hold-on time of 5 minutes, daylight sensor disabled, dimming level set to 30%, and dimming time set to 60 minutes. Any changes made to the settings using the remote control will be confirmed by the LED light connected to the sensor turning on/off.
