To connect the AIDA CCU-IP Professional Broadcast PTZ Joystick Controller to your cameras, you have three options: RS422 Connection, RS232 Connection, and RJ45 Connection. Here are the step-by-step instructions for each connection method:
1. RS422 Connection:
- Connect the RS422 cable from the controller to the first camera.
- Use the provided wiring guide to chain additional cameras together.
- Set the protocol, address, and baudrate for each camera using the controller's menu.
2. RS232 Connection:
- Connect the RS232 Visca cable (provided with the AIDA PTZ camera purchase) from the controller to the RS232 in port on the back of the camera.
- For additional cameras, use RS232 mini-din cables or CBL-RJ45 cables (purchased separately) for longer distances.
- Set the protocol, address, and baudrate for each camera using the controller's menu.
3. RJ45 Connection:
- Make sure the cameras and the CCU-IP controller are on the same switch.
- The controller has a default static IP address of 192.168.1.108. If you want to change it, enter the camera menu by pressing the SETUP button and adjust the network attributes.
- Add a network device on the controller by entering the camera's IP address, port (52381 by default), and selecting the Sony VISCA protocol.
- The LCD screen on the controller will indicate if the connection is successful.
Please refer to the installation guide for more detailed instructions and diagrams for each connection method.
