To connect the power and ground for the Right Weigh 205-SK Air Line and Electrical Install Kit, follow these steps:
1. Using the Power Extension Cable (2), connect the RED wire to the RED wire on the harness. Repeat the same for the BLACK wire.
2. Connect the RED wire to a switched positive (+) power source. This means connecting it to a power source that is only active when the vehicle is turned on or in use. Do not connect it directly to a battery or any constant power source.
3. Connect the BLACK wire to chassis ground (-). This means connecting it to a metal part of the vehicle's frame or body that is directly connected to the negative terminal of the battery.
4. Make sure the required supply voltage is between 9 and 32 volts DC.
It is important to connect the gauge to a switched power source so that it can be disconnected from power when not in use. Most users connect it to the vehicle marker lights or auxiliary wire from the 7-way.
Please note that these instructions are a general guideline and may vary depending on your specific vehicle. It is always recommended to consult the vehicle or component manufacturer if you are unsure about the installation practices that apply to your vehicle.
