Yes, the GALENVS Magneti Blood and Cell DNA Extraction Kit can be used for both blood and cell samples. However, there are some specific requirements and considerations for each sample type.
For blood samples:
1. Ensure that the blood samples are collected using appropriate anticoagulants, such as EDTA or heparin, to prevent clotting.
2. Add up to 16 blood samples to the Lysis/Binding Buffer in columns 1 and 7 of the plate.
3. Add 20ul of Proteinase K to each blood sample.
4. Follow the remaining steps as mentioned in the instruction manual.
For cell samples:
1. Ensure that the cell samples are properly lysed before adding them to the Lysis/Binding Buffer in columns 1 and 7 of the plate.
2. Add up to 16 cell samples to the Lysis/Binding Buffer in columns 1 and 7 of the plate.
3. Add 20ul of Proteinase K to each cell sample.
4. Follow the remaining steps as mentioned in the instruction manual.
