To activate and mix the Harvard MTA XR Flow EWT OptiCaps and EndoDirect Syringe, follow these steps:
1. Before activation, press the plunger of the Harvard OptiCaps on a hard and plane surface until it reaches the end of the capsule.
2. Insert the activated Harvard OptiCaps into the Harvard Applier OptiCaps and click it once. Make sure the plunger is at the same level as the bottom of the capsule.
3. Insert the Harvard OptiCaps into a standard mixer, close the lid, and mix immediately for 30 seconds at approximately 4,300 oscillations/minute.
4. After mixing, insert the Harvard OptiCaps into the Harvard Applier OptiCaps. Remove the pin from the nozzle to prevent the capsule from bursting. Pull the lever of the Harvard Applier OptiCaps two times (2 distinct clicks) to prime the Harvard OptiCaps.
5. Check the tightness of the endo tip on the Harvard MTA EndoDirect syringe. Mark the working length with the silicone stop and bend the endo tip at an obtuse angle if desired.
6. Remove the plunger from the syringe and transfer the mixed material immediately into the Harvard MTA EndoDirect syringe.
7. Unlock the Harvard Applier OptiCaps by pressing button A and remove the Harvard OptiCaps.
8. Place the plunger back into the Harvard MTA EndoDirect syringe.
9. Apply the Harvard MTA XR Flow EWT into the apical region of the root canal using the Harvard MTA EndoDirect syringe.
Note: It is important to use only the fitted endo tip in combination with the Harvard MTA EndoDirect syringe. The optimal amount of mixed material is guaranteed when using the Harvard capsule applier (Order.-No. 7092000).
