To connect your phone to the mettatec X5 GNSS Receiver, you can use either Bluetooth or WiFi. Here are the steps to connect using each method:
1. Bluetooth:
- Enable Bluetooth on your phone and make sure it is discoverable.
- Put the X5 GNSS Receiver in Rover mode.
- Pair your phone with the X5 GNSS Receiver by selecting the device in the Bluetooth settings on your phone.
- Once paired, open the GIS software on your phone that supports NMEA over Bluetooth, such as SW Maps, SurvPC, or Field Genius.
- In the GIS software, select the Bluetooth GNSS option and choose the paired X5 GNSS Receiver.
- You should now be connected and able to use the X5 GNSS Receiver with your phone.
2. WiFi:
- Put the X5 GNSS Receiver in Configuration mode.
- On your phone, go to the WiFi settings and connect to the WiFi network named "Metta-X5" using the password "123456789".
- Open the Metta X5 App on your phone (only available for Android).
- The app should detect the connection to the X5 GNSS Receiver and display a connected message.
- From the app, you can configure the device and save the settings.
- Once configured, you can exit the app and use the X5 GNSS Receiver with your preferred GIS software.
