To connect and use the FIRMAN 1201 50A Parallel Kit with your FIRMAN Power Equipment Inverter Generators, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both inverters are turned off and all electrical loads are disconnected before installing the parallel kit.
2. Align the inverters in the same direction, with a minimum spacing of 20 inches (50 cm) between them. This is important to prevent the exhaust heat from one unit from damaging the other unit.
3. Make sure the ECO switch is in the same position on both generators.
4. On each inverter, remove the parallel outlet covers and plug the parallel cable terminals into the parallel outlets.
5. Loosen the nuts on the grounding terminals and attach the ground wire to the ground terminal in each inverter. Tighten securely.
6. Turn on both inverters following the starting instructions in the inverter owner's manual. Make sure the green output indicator light comes on for each inverter.
7. Before applying any load, make sure the ECO switch is in the same position on both generators.
8. Plug in your 120 Volt AC, single phase, 60Hz electrical loads into the parallel kit receptacles. Start with the device with the largest output first and the smallest output last to prevent overloading the inverters. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating of the inverters, parallel kit, and receptacles.
9. Allow the generator output to stabilize before plugging in the next load.
10. When you are finished using the parallel kit, turn off the inverter generators following the owner's manual instructions, and then disconnect the parallel kit.
Please refer to the FIRMAN 1201 50A Parallel Kit User Manual for more detailed instructions and safety information.
