To remove the factory radio in your Subaru Legacy/Outback (with NAV) 2010-2012, follow these steps:
1. Let the vehicle sit with the key out of the ignition for a few minutes before removing the factory radio.
2. Unclip and remove the A/C vent trim panel surrounding the radio.
3. Remove the six Phillips screws securing the radio/display. Slide the radio/display out, then unplug and remove the radio/display.
4. Cut and remove the shaded area shown in the sub-dash to make clearance for the aftermarket radio.
Please refer to Figure A in the instruction manual for visual guidance.
Note: The antenna cable is connected down lower by the floorboard.
Complete the installation by following the instructions in the Kit Assembly section of the manual.
