To install the Fisher & Paykel DH9060FS 9kg Heat Pump Condensing Dryer, follow these steps:
1. Safety Precautions:
- Ensure that the dryer is not connected to an external switching device or a circuit that is regularly switched on and off.
- Avoid using extension cords or portable electrical outlet devices.
- Install the dryer in a well-ventilated and dust-free environment.
- Do not install the dryer on textured floor coverings like carpet or rugs.
- Ensure that the dryer door can always be opened fully.
2. Water Supply Requirements:
- The maximum inlet water pressure should be 1MPa (145psi), and the minimum should be 30kPa (4.5psi).
- The minimum inlet water flow rate should be 6 liters/minute.
- The maximum cold water temperature should not exceed 35°C.
3. Installation Options:
- The dryer can be installed either freestanding or stacked on top of a Fisher & Paykel front loading washer.
- If stacking, use the compatible stacking kit and ensure the power plug remains accessible.
- Follow the stacking compatibility document provided with your dryer for safe stacking options.
4. Water Supply Connection:
- Use the new hose set provided with your dryer.
- Connect the inlet hose to the cold tap using a Y connector.
- Connect the other end of the inlet hose to the dryer's inlet valve.
- Tighten the inlet hose ends by hand and check for leaks.
5. Draining:
- The dryer has a condenser unit that collects water during the drying cycle.
- You can choose to collect the water in the removable water tank or set up automatic draining using the drain hose provided.
- Connect the drain hose to the back of the dryer and place the other end into a tub or standpipe.
- Ensure the drain hose is securely fixed and regularly check for leaks or obstructions.
6. Levelling the Dryer:
- Level the dryer side to side by adjusting the rear feet.
- Level the dryer front to back by adjusting the front feet.
- Ensure the dryer stands balanced on all four feet and does not rock in any direction.
7. Complete Installation:
- Turn on the water and check all hose connections for leaks.
- Uncoil the power cord and plug it into a wall socket.
- Connect the appliance to an earthed outlet protected by a suitable fuse.
- Perform a test cycle to ensure proper installation and functioning of the dryer.
