To install the KPH362XT 36 Wallmount Chimney Hood, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the installation work and electrical wiring are done by qualified individuals in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.
2. Ensure that there is sufficient air for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment.
3. When cutting or drilling into the wall or ceiling, be careful not to damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
4. Always vent the ducted fans to the outdoors.
5. The unit must be grounded.
6. Use only metal ductwork to reduce the risk of fire.
7. Avoid checking filters while the hood is working.
8. Do not touch the lamps after prolonged use of the appliance.
9. Do not cook flambé underneath the hood.
10. Do not use an unprotected flame near the filters as it can cause fires.
11. Watch fried food constantly to avoid cooking oil flare-ups.
12. Before performing any maintenance operation, disconnect the hood from the electrical service.
