To cancel a job on the Canon ImageRUNNER Advance DX, follow these steps:
1. Select the Status Monitor button or icon.
2. Choose the job you want to cancel.
3. Select the Cancel option.
You can also cancel a copy or scan job that is currently running by using the In Progress or Status Window. To do this:
1. Open the status window.
2. Click on the Cancel button.
3. Confirm the cancellation by selecting Yes.
If you want to promote a job to run next or interrupt a running job, follow these steps:
1. Select the Status Monitor button or icon.
2. Choose the job that needs to print next or will interrupt the running job.
3. Click on the Interrupt/Priority Print button.
- To move the selected job up in the queue to be printed next, select Priority Print. The job will move to the top of the list just under the running job and will print when the next.
- To interrupt the running job and print the selected job, select Interrupt and Print. The running job will stop at a place where it can resume, and the selected job will run. After the selected job is finished, the interrupted job will pick up where it left off and finish printing.
If the job is not already in the Status Monitor queue, you can use the Interrupt button to pause an in-progress job so that another job can run. Once the new job is complete, the interrupted job will resume where it left off. Follow these steps:
1. Close the in-progress job's status window.
2. Select the Interrupt button. The running job will continue to run.
3. Program the options for the new job (e.g., number of copies, finishing, 2-sided, etc.).
4. Select the Reset button.
5. Enter the options for the new job.
6. Select the Start button. The running job will continue to a place where it can resume and then stop.
7. The copier will begin the new job.
8. When the new job is complete, the interrupted job will resume.
