To measure current using the Milwaukee 2217-40 Digital Multimeter, follow these steps:
1. Turn off power to the circuit you want to measure.
2. Set the Rotary Dial to the appropriate current range (6A or 10A) depending on the expected current.
3. Insert the black test lead into the COM jack and the red test lead into the mA/µA jack.
4. Connect the black test lead to the negative side of the circuit and the red test lead to the positive side.
5. Turn on the power to the circuit.
6. Read the current value displayed on the screen.
Note: Make sure to select the correct current range to avoid damaging the multimeter. If the current exceeds the selected range, the multimeter may display an overload indication.
