To install the PRO T755 Universal Thermostat, it is recommended to have a trained, experienced technician do the installation. However, here are some general installation steps:
1. Choose an installation location that is approximately 4 to 5 feet above the floor, with average temperature and good air circulation.
2. Avoid installing the thermostat in locations close to hot or cold air ducts, in direct sunlight, with an outside wall behind it, in areas that do not require conditioning, or where there are dead spots or drafts.
3. Install the subbase either horizontally or vertically using screws.
4. Align the 4 tabs on the subbase with corresponding slots on the back of the thermostat and push gently until the thermostat snaps in place.
5. If the thermostat is hardwired, battery installation is optional. Use high-quality alkaline batteries if installing them.
6. Connect the wires to the terminal block, making sure to follow the wiring instructions and using shielded or non-shielded 18-22 gauge thermostat wire.
7. Make sure to disconnect the power before starting the installation to avoid electrical shock or equipment damage.
8. Once the thermostat is installed, you can customize the settings and program schedule using the LCD display and menu options.
Please note that these are general installation steps, and it is always recommended to refer to the specific installation guide provided with the thermostat for detailed instructions and safety precautions.
