To set up the Unni UN0581 Digital Wireless Weather Station, follow these steps:
1. Insert batteries: Open the battery compartment of the wireless sensor and insert 2x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Then, open the battery compartment of the weather station and insert 3x AAA batteries, also ensuring correct polarity.
2. Set the weather symbol: When you insert batteries for the first time, the weather symbol setting will automatically start flashing. The default symbol is half sunny, but you can manually adjust it by pressing the INDEX button. Press the MEM or CH button to save the setting.
3. Pair the outdoor sensor with the weather station: Once the weather station has batteries installed, it will start receiving RF signals from the outdoor sensor for 3 minutes. To match the correct outdoor sensor, press the CH button on the base unit. If the sensor doesn't connect automatically, follow these steps:
a. Ensure that the weather station and outdoor sensor are on the same channel.
b. Long press the CH button on the base unit to search for the signal from the outdoor sensor.
c. The sensor receiving icon will flash while searching for the signal.
d. Once the sensor is connected, the icon will become stable.
e. The weather station will automatically search for the signal every 3 minutes every hour until it is connected.
Note: After replacing the sensor battery, you need to press and hold the CH button on the station to receive the signal again.
