To connect your Orbit Reader 20 braille display to the Orbit Teacher app, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have the Orbit Teacher app installed on your Android phone or tablet.
2. Turn on your Orbit Reader 20 braille display and make sure it is in pairing mode. You can do this by pressing the power button on the braille display until it enters pairing mode.
3. On your Android device, go to the Bluetooth settings and make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
4. Open the Orbit Teacher app on your Android device.
5. Tap on the "Connect OR-20" button in the app.
6. The app will show a list of already paired devices. If your Orbit Reader 20 braille display appears in the list, tap on it to initiate the connection.
7. If your braille display is not already paired with your device, tap on the "Scan for devices" button in the app. It will show all the Orbit Reader 20 devices in range to be paired.
8. Tap on the serial number of your Orbit Reader 20 braille display to connect to it. If it is not already paired, the app will ask you to pair with the new device. Tap on the "Pair" button to establish the connection.
9. Once connected, the app will display the serial number of your braille display at the bottom of the screen and mirror the display on the app, showing the translated visual fonts as well as Braille fonts.
10. To disconnect the braille display, tap on the "Disconnect OR-20" button in the app. You can also manually disconnect from the braille display by pressing SPACE + D (Dots 1 4 5 7) on the braille display.
Note: The connection will be closed automatically when you put the braille display to sleep, turn it off, or close the Orbit Teacher app. The braille display will reconnect to the last connected device when you wake it up or turn it on, as long as the Bluetooth is on and the Orbit Teacher app is running.
