To set up your Synology WRX560 Wifi Router, follow these steps:
1. Position your Synology Router: Place it on a stable surface, away from physical interferences, and close to where your client devices are located.
2. Connect your Synology Router to the ISP modem: Use the included network cable to connect the WAN1 port of your Synology Router to the ISP modem.
3. Power on your Synology Router: Connect one end of the power adapter to the power port on your Synology Router and the other end to a power outlet. Press the power button to turn on your router. Wait for the STATUS and WAN LED indicators to turn green.
4. Connect wireless devices: Once the Wi-Fi indicator turns static green, your Synology Router is ready to connect with other devices. Use your wireless device to scan and join the Wi-Fi network created by your router. The default Wi-Fi SSID is "Synology_Serial" (Serial is the last 6 digits of your router's serial number), and the password is "synology". Remember to change the password during the initial setup.
5. Connect wired devices: Use network cables to connect devices to the LAN ports on your Synology Router.
6. Set up Synology Router Manager (SRM): Open a web browser and enter either "http://router.synology.com" or "http://192.168.1.1:8000" in the address bar. Once connected, click "Start" to launch the SRM Setup Wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the administrator account and Wi-Fi network.
7. Complete the setup: The setup wizard will continue to configure your Synology Router, which may take up to three minutes. After the setup is complete, you can sign in to SRM with the administrator account.
Note: The steps provided are a general demonstration of the SRM setup process. The actual steps and options may vary depending on your device type (PC or wireless device), access type (LAN, WAN, or Wireless LAN), and chosen operation mode (Wireless Router or Wireless AP). You can also download the DS router app on your mobile device to manage your Synology Router remotely.
