To safely ignite the Flamtastique outdoor oil lamp, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the appliance is in a cool and undamaged state before igniting.
2. Remove the extinguish cover from the glass.
3. Use a suitable lighter or long match to ignite the appliance.
4. Make sure to ignite the appliance at a safe distance, at least 14 cm away from the burner opening.
5. During the ignition process, observe the fire from a safe distance to ensure it is properly lit.
Note: Do not ignite the appliance if it is hot or damaged. Be cautious as parts of the appliance, especially the glass, may become hot during operation.
It is important to use suitable bio-ethanol fuel with over 96.6% alcohol content, preferably brands like Domestix or Xaralyn. The flame may initially be low and hardly visible, but allow it 5 to 10 minutes to reach optimum temperature and visibility. Avoid placing the appliance in a draughty environment.
