To install the Sunco Lighting PRE-01009 48 Pack 6 Inch Ultra Thin LED Recessed Ceiling Lights, please follow the instructions provided in the installation guide. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that you have a qualified electrician for the installation. It is important to read and understand the instructions before installing and using the luminaire.
2. Disconnect the power before attempting installation or servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock or component damage.
3. The luminaire must be connected to a wiring system with an equipment-grounding conductor.
4. Make sure the supply voltage is the same as the rated luminaire voltage: 120-277V AC, 50/60Hz, with an input current of 1.8A Max.
5. Do not install the lights where the marked operating temperatures exceed the ignition temperature of the hazardous atmosphere. Also, do not operate in ambient temperatures above those indicated on the luminaire nameplate.
6. The lights are suitable for wet locations.
7. For supply connections, use wire rated for at least 100°C.
8. Troubleshooting: Check that the fixture is firmly secured to the mounting surface, verify the proper line voltage, ensure correct wiring, and check that the fixture is grounded.
9. Ceiling Mount: Use the existing hole in the ceiling or open a 1 ¾” hole. Put the back thread through the hole and secure it with the gasket, plate, and hex head locknut. Tighten the small set xxxx on the side of the locknut to prevent loosening. Use a 3/4” conduit to lead out the wires and connect the luminaire wiring to line wires with UL approved connectors.
10. Surface Mount on Junction Box: Drill holes in the ceiling according to the dimensions provided. Remove the threaded adapter from the back of the fixture. Connect the luminaire wiring to line wires with UL approved connectors. Secure the fixture to the roof with 4 screws.
11. Surface Mount without Junction Box: Drill holes in the ceiling according to the dimensions provided. Remove the threaded adapter from the back of the fixture. Open the back plate, pull the wires back and through the 1/2” NPT threaded hole. Secure the fixture to the roof with 4 screws. Connect the luminaire wiring to line wires with UL approved connectors. Apply sealant around the 1/2” hole.
12. Field Adjustable Wattage (if applicable): The end users may adjust the wattage/brightness using the DIP switches on the side of the fixture. Unscrew the xxxx cap before using the watt selectable function. Toggle each DIP switch (1, 2, 3) to select the desired watts as indicated on the watt selectable label. Replace the xxxx cap.
